Devious Media - Personal Assistant / Apprentice

Job Description:

The President and CEO of Devious Media with stakes in several new media entertainment ventures including social networking, games, mobile, and a holding company is seeking a personal assistant/apprentice that wishes to contribute to the growth and management of several new media entertainment ventures while working intimately with the President/CEO to further their own personal and career growth.

How can you be involved?

We are looking for an individual with a passion for entertainment, a thirst for knowledge in a variety of aspects of the business, with particular focus on innovations in digital technology: they are ready to gain a plethora of real word experience and knowledge. You will be very intimately involved in a portfolio of businesses giving them access at the highest level to a wealth of information and guidance from the top man himself. You must have a vision, and a desire to grow with us in the dynamic new media entertainment industry. 

Lessons Learned

We intend to give you a wide variety of responsibilities all setup to quickly acclimate yourself to several different business functions. As such your activities will include:

1. •    Aiding in the development of Marketing Proposals and Strategies
   

2. •    Representing the Executive on his behalf during meetings and with 3rd parties
   

3. •    Learn about Account Management, Client Relations and Sales
   

4. •    Gaining Management experience overseeing interns, developers, designers and other internal team members
   

5. •    Aiding in the execution of Marketing Strategies
   

6. •    Attending meetings with the executive
   

7. •    Aid in managing the executives schedule and priorities
   

8. •    Attending Social/Networking events with the Executive
   

9. •    Keeping abreast of business/technology industry news 
   

Qualifications:

1. •    College graduate preferred but not required
   

2. •    Previous entertainment experience a plus
   

3. •    Enjoy a flexible schedule where you primarily work from home
   

4. •    Current and fresh knowledge of Pop Culture, fashion, entertainment and technology trends…do you consider yourself “in the know” if not…don’t apply
   

5. •    Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including excellent client and project management skills
   

6. •    Responsible with a high sense of urgency
   

7. •    Understanding of social networking (ie Facebook, Twitter, etc…), forums, blogs, chat rooms, RSS, Web 2.0, etc…
   

8. •    Tech Savvy
   

9. •    Must have a Mac laptop, smart phone, and broadband at home
   

10. •    Understand iLife applications like iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, etc…
    

11. •    Willingness to learn moderately technical skills
    

12. •    Excellent writing skills
    

13. •    Very Detail-Oriented
    

14. •    Passionate!!! And personable.
    

15. •    Not afraid to take chances
    

16. •    You must be in the LA area preferably the west side or south bay.
