Jason Debiak

Design / Development

Jason’s extensive experience in music, marketing and digital development – working with everything from full-scale websites to ultra-niche viral content – informs his projects for Devious Media. He has a degree in Communications from Ramopo College and a background in music touring & recording, plus serious skills in photography, graphic design, web development, and marketing. He’s what you might call “well-rounded.”

After college, Jason started running marketing efforts for a boutique indie music record label in New York. His extensive work in full-scale marketing efforts made the label, which actually had four employees, as visible within the industry as its larger, better-funded competition. As the one-man marketing team, Jason developed and implemented complete promotional packages, including producing tour and television events, creating viral video content and social media assets, branding, and driving all creative for all artist content – from CD package design and artist websites to EPKs and merchandise.

At the same time, Jason toured around the world with two established bands for three years, and recorded four albums in the process. This man is busy!

Jason’s professional history in the business of music, and the aesthetics of art and design, make him an unusual – and valuable – asset to any new media marketing group. For Devious Media, Jason brings his dedication to keeping costs low, while developing rich, innovative marketing collateral and campaigns that utilize the most up-to-date technologies and capitalize on the latest trends. His clients include illustrious and traditional companies like The New York Times, and cutting-edge groups like Little Paper Planes.
